According to Research and Markets, a global market research data source, the total value of the global animation industry was US $259 billion in 2018 and projected to reach US $270 billion by 2020. The rapid advancement of technology has made animation, VFX & games available to the masses, and this industry has become one of the fastest-growing segments in the global media and entertainment market.
Growth in content demand from distribution platforms such as Netflix, Hulu, and YouTube provides outlets for more animated works by more diverse voices and perspectives. Similar growth in virtual reality platforms augmented reality and other mobile vehicles suggest the time is ripe for new animation studio development.
